Damian Griffis, CEO of First Peoples Disability Network – a founding member of DPO Australia – has been appointed to the role of Co-Chair of the Change The Record campaign.
He will be working alongside Antoinette Braybook, CEO of the Aboriginal Family Violence Prevention and Legal Service Victoria (FVPLS Victoria).
Damian said:
I’m looking forward to working with Antoinette, the Change the Record team and our partner organisations to halt the soaring imprisonment rates of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men, women and children.
We have the evidence and action must be taken. Our families and communities are in desperate need of a circuit breaker to stop the hurt and the pain that imprisoning people causes.
