Complaints with National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) planning processes have soared by 700 percent in the last year, according to the Commonwealth Ombudsman.

Many of the complaints related to the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) conducting planning meetings by phone – a practice which has now changed.

The NDIA have made a statement that they are actioning all recommendations arising from the Ombudsman’s office in relation to complaints.

If you have a complaint regarding service you have received, you can lodge a complaint with the NDIA:

If you’re complaint is not resolved, you can lodge a further complaint with the independent Commonwealth Ombudsman:

DPO Australia and our peers across the sector to encourage Governments to make the NDIS fairer, more accessible and responsive to the needs of all people with disability.
