On Tuesday 17 October DPO Australia representatives, along with our NGO delegation colleagues, met with the Australian Government Delegation in Geneva at the office of the Australian Permanent Mission.
The meeting provided an important opportunity for the NGO delegation and Australian Government representatives to meet and discuss key themes that are included in the Australian Government report and the NGO Coalition shadow reports to the United Nations Human Rights Committee.
The Committee’s formal review of Australia’s progress toward implementing the Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) will begin on Wednesday at 3pm (Geneva Time) and continue on Thursday morning.
